OUR PEOPLE

We Bring People Together by Understanding What Makes Them Different

Since 1998, BridgeWorks has helped organizations understand generational dynamics, strengthen workplace culture, and improve collaboration across generations.

Our team has delivered thousands of keynotes and workshops, authored best-selling books, built global learning programs, and partnered with organizations across industries to help leaders and teams work better together.

We Live the Generations

Generational dynamics isn’t something we study — we live them.

Our team represents Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z, offering firsthand insight into how each generation approaches communication, leadership, work expectations, and collaboration in today’s workplace.

At our core is one unwavering belief:
Every generation brings strengths shaped by its formative years. When activated, those strengths build stronger teams, more connected cultures, and more effective organizations.

Since 1998, we’ve helped organizations apply generational insights to improve workplace communication, develop leaders, accelerate onboarding, strengthen culture, increase employee engagement, and retain top talent.

CRISTA THIELEN

Partner & Chief Experience Officer | Gen X

Crista Thielen grew up in a hardware store.

Long before she was advising executives or designing organizational strategy, she stood behind a worn wooden counter alongside her dad, listening as customers described what wasn’t working. A hinge that kept failing. A door that wouldn’t close. A frame that had shifted just enough to throw everything off.

She learned early that people don’t ask for the exact tool they need—they describe the symptom. The real work is understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and identifying the right solutions to create lasting stability.

That perspective defines her leadership today.

As Partner & Chief Experience Officer at BridgeWorks, Crista leads the design of the client and learner experience—partnering with organizations to strengthen culture, align leadership, and build sustainable, high-performing, multigenerational workplaces.

Her work sits at the intersection of organizational development, generational dynamics, leadership strategy, and employee experience. She partners with executive teams to move beyond quick fixes and instead address the systems, behaviors, and assumptions that shape how people work together.

Crista brings deep expertise in:

  • Generational intelligence and workforce trends
  • Leadership development and change strategy
  • Culture, belonging, and employee engagement
  • Emotional intelligence and psychological safety
  • Intercultural Development (IDI) and inclusive leadership
  • Talent strategy, onboarding, and workplace communication

She holds certifications in Emotional Intelligence and Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University and works with tools including the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and Energy Leadership™.

In the room, Crista is known for building trust quickly. Her approach is reflective, strategic, and direct—helping leaders ask better questions, navigate complexity without blame, and move forward with clarity and alignment.

Over the past two decades, she has worked within and alongside global enterprises and community-rooted organizations alike. Across industries, she has seen the same pattern emerge: workplaces don’t break down from a lack of effort, but from misalignment, unclear expectations, and misunderstood generational dynamics.

She still believes what she learned years ago behind that counter:
The right tools matter—but curiosity, integrity, and asking better questions are what create lasting change.

As the resident Gen Z voice in the office, and a proud Millennial/Gen Z cusper, Jazzy brings firsthand perspective to the generational conversations we facilitate every day. Born at the beginning of Gen Z, she grew up straddling analog and digital worlds: physically going to the store to buy a first-generation iPod Shuffle with her own money, while also coming of age alongside Hannah Montana and a Nintendo DS. This lived experience gives this in-betweener an intuitive ability to translate across generations using equal parts humor, empathy, and perspective.

Outside of BridgeWorks, she values time spent with her husband, daughter, and dog. Hobbies include enjoying the outdoors, exploring new places, and Pilates. These personal passions ground her approach to work, balancing execution with empathy and ambition with presence.
